Good Violin Bow by Pierre Simon (Vuillaume model), Raffin-Canu-Bigot certificate
Good violin bow by Pierre Simon, made in Vuillaume workshop. There was cheek crack on player side, perfectly repaired by Jeongbong Lee (hardly seen on detailed photo). Original frog has multiple cracks and replacement frog from Vuillaume workshop has restored thumb wear, wear on handle, thumb projectoin of frog and button ebony. Button is from Vuillaume workshop of the period.
This bow is attributed to had been in the possesion of late David Oistrakh.
Certificate by Raffin-Canu-Bigot and the valuation of this bow is 20,000 euros (March 2012)
